What settings did you use to calibrate your display to?

Were you soft proofing, and if so, what profile were you using to soft proof? I haven't tried making any adjustments yet but maybe I'll try reverting back to Mojave and seeing if that helps. I had just recently calibrated my monitor with SpyderX Pro as well. While running a couple test prints I was surprised at how far off the color profiles of the prints looked when compared with my screen. I guess Canon hasn't updated the software to be compatible with Catalina yet. I downloaded the newest version of Print Studio Pro anyway that was available from the Mojave download page. When manually changing to other macOS versions like Mojave the Print Studio Pro software was available. Come to find out, Canon's website had automatically detected that I was running Catalina. I just recently received my Pixma Pro-100 and while installing it I tried to download Canon Print Studio Pro but it was not available under the software options on Canon's site. Dual booting might suffice for many, many years. When the time comes that upgrading the OS becomes compelling, I'll do that on an external drive so I don't lose Mojave and CS6 functionality. I just bought a 2019 iMac 27 (current version) that came with Mojave (thank goodness). It runs perfectly on Mojave but will not run on Catalina. I use Photoshop CS6 and have no intention of "upgrading" to subscription Creative Cloud versions. No one is forced to use Catalina right now, but eventually people who do not will find the old OS version they stick with unsupported.
MACOS CATALINA VS MOJAVE 64 BIT
They have very good reasons for making the changes they did in the OS and its 64 bit requirement.

But their performance won't be reliable.įrom my viewpoint Apple is not to blame in any of this.
MACOS CATALINA VS MOJAVE INSTALL
Programs which have both 64 bit portions and 32 bit parts may install and run to a certain point. It's anybody's guess if Canon is going to update Print Studio Pro. Apple started warning about this requirement over a year ago and manufacturers have had plenty of time to get programs updated for this need.Īdobe dragged their feet and is not bashful about finding ways to charge for program updates such as making you buy a new version despite the fact that you just paid for software they knew you could not use. Catalina will not run any program which is not 64 bit.
